Refunds and lifetime license

Refund policy: monthly subscription

Within [REFUND PERIOD — CONFIRM] of the first payment you can ask for a full refund without giving a reason. Even if the first month was discounted, the refund is the amount you paid.
After that period, if you cancel, no payment is taken in the next period; there is no refund for the period you are in, and you keep using Lupy until it ends.
If we made a mistake on a renewal (double charge, charge after cancellation) we refund it in full.

Refund policy: lifetime license

Within [REFUND PERIOD — CONFIRM] of purchase you can ask for a full refund without giving a reason.
After that period, no refund. Exception: if you cannot use Lupy because of something on our side and we cannot fix it within [PERIOD — CONFIRM], we refund. [CONFIRM]

How to ask

Write to hey@justblastgames.com from your account email. There is no «request refund» button on your account page yet; we plan to add one [CONFIRM: whether and when it will be added is an owner decision; that the button does not exist today was verified in the app code]. The refund returns to the card used, through Stripe, within [PERIOD — CONFIRM]. When a refund is approved your license closes.

Legal rights

This policy does not limit your statutory consumer rights (defective service, right of withdrawal, etc.); where the law gives a longer period or more rights, the law applies. What «lifetime license» means

You pay once; you get the right to use Lupy without an extra subscription fee, «for as long as Lupy is offered». «Lifetime» does not mean your lifetime or the company's lifetime; it means the service life of the product. What is included

The version published on the day you buy and all updates released in the first year after purchase (new features, bug fixes, security patches).
During the update period, the account and license service that Lupy needs for license checks.

When the update period ends

Lupy does not lock the version you have; when your right to new versions ends, only the download of the new version closes. Today the app compares the entitlement only in the "is there a new version" check (by button): if the entitlement has ended, the new version's download address is not shown and the version you have keeps working. To get new versions and new features you renew the optional yearly updates ($79 a year). If you do not renew, the only thing you lose is new versions. If you stop and later come back, the renewal price applies.
Security patches are provided only for the version line that has update rights. Today this promise is not backed by a working process: there is no download address yet. [CONFIRM: is there a promise of a patch for severe vulnerabilities for everyone?]

Cloud features

If Lupy needs a cloud service to work (for example license checks, sync, a Lupy cloud brain), those services are provided on a «fair use» and «as long as the service is offered» basis; a lifetime license does not mean cloud services will be offered without limit or forever. License scope

Personal use on your own devices; today there is no limit on the number of devices. No transfer, resale or sharing. If a team or company plan appears later it will have separate terms.

When the license ends

(a) Serious breach of the terms (Terms, section 13), (b) refund, (c) service shutdown (Terms, section 15). It does not end otherwise.

iPad and iPhone

A Mac license does not automatically cover a mobile app; when a mobile app ships, Apple's subscription and in-app purchase rules will be reviewed separately. [CONFIRM + LAWYER: Apple rules]
